Job summary

The NAB Leadership Foundation is seeking a News Producer to create daily newscast items, decide story order, write teases, and time news programs for multi-platform distribution. The role also edits video and posts content to the website, shaping on-air and online storytelling.

You will balance news and feature content, write scripts, interact with viewers on social media, and perform other duties as assigned to support timely, accurate broadcasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Minimum two years' experience in news operations (Depending on market size).
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work any shift.
• Annual Salary $43,000

Responsibilities

• Produces newscasts for broadcast across all platforms.
• Writes and orders news stories.
• Approves scripts.
• Balances news and feature content to create compelling broadcasts.
