Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a News Producer for KGAN in Cedar Rapids to shape daily newscasts and content. You will work with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk and Anchors to determine content and flow, write stories, and develop online material.

The ideal candidate will have solid news judgment, strong writing skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, with experience in non-linear editing (Avid) and newsroom systems like iNews.

Qualifications

• Must have at least some previous news producing experience at a commercial TV station, although the right entry-level candidate may be considered
• A journalism degree is preferred
