Job summary

Univision Chicago is seeking a photographer/editor to join our News Department. The role involves shooting and editing for the station's newscasts, daily news gathering, and reporting in a fast-paced market.

Ideal candidates are story-driven shooters with experience in ENG news production, non-linear editing (Premiere/Avid), and the ability to work under tight deadlines while coordinating with reporters and producers.

Qualifications

• Technical/College School degree and 2 years' college preferred; 2 years' experience may substitute.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills both written and oral.
• Knowledge of ENG practices; experience with television news photography technology; able to shoot with P2 and XD cameras; edit under deadline pressure.

Responsibilities

• Go to news sites in all types of weather and capture newsworthy events as they happen.
• Edit video for daily news coverage using Adobe Premiere and non-linear editing software.
• Work with reporters to produce compelling stories and meet daily deadlines.
• Maintain assigned photography gear and vehicles and operate in a safe manner.
• Work well with P2 and XD cameras to shoot interviews and general footage.
• Establish good working relationships with newscast producers and co-anchors.
