Job summary

Baltimore City Public Schools is seeking candidates for a Teacher Pool in Music to plan and deliver engaging instruction across Pre-K–12. Ideal candidates will assess student achievement, utilize multimedia tools, and collaborate with a team to support student growth.

This Music teaching pool emphasizes effective behavior management, curriculum alignment, and ongoing communication with families. Qualified applicants may be assigned to multiple schools as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid educator license in Music or eligible for a conditional music license.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution.
• Knowledge of federal laws protecting educational services for students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of music content, curriculum, and instructional methods.

Responsibilities

• Assess student abilities and progress toward goals.
• Plan and implement instructional strategies using multimedia and technology.
• Adapt materials to meet diverse student needs within the district framework.
• Establish effective classroom management and behavior support.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to maximize learning opportunities.
• Communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
