School of Rock is seeking a Music Instructor for our San Ramon location to lead private lessons and student performances, delivering engaging, curriculum-based music education and helping students grow musically and personally.

You will teach five core areas and collaborate with parents and staff to ensure a valuable student experience. Ideal candidates have formal music training, strong communication, and a passion for teaching in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Ability to engage a diverse student base and personalize instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passion for teaching and developing young musicians.

Responsibilities

• Maximize quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate progress with parents after lessons and remain accessible at school.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance as needed.
