WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, SC has an immediate opening for a Reporter/Multimedia Journalist. This role requires an organized, independent, ethical journalist who can enterprise stories and deliver strong live reporting.

Ideal candidates will have a 4-year journalism degree and at least one year MMJ/producing experience, with excellent on-camera skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure and adapt to breaking news.

Qualifications

• A 4-year college degree in journalism, mass communication, or a related field is required.
• Ideal candidates will have at least one year of MMJ/producing experience.
• Able to write clearly and conversationally.
• Understanding of AP Style and strong newscast ethics.

Responsibilities

• Pitch, shoot, write, edit, and present stories that impact communities.
• Strong on-camera presence; live reporting is a plus.
• Write and post stories for digital and social platforms.
• Develop sources and pitch enterprise stories daily.
• Participate in daily editorial decisions and long-term initiatives.
• Demonstrate editorial judgment while following ethics and libel laws.
• Maintain professional conduct at the station and community.
• Collaborate with coworkers, supervisors, and viewers.
• Work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
