KTNV, a Scripps-owned station in Las Vegas, is seeking a Multimedia Journalist to tell community-focused stories from idea to air across TV and digital platforms.

You'll gather information in the field, craft compelling scripts, shoot and edit video, and collaborate with photographers, producers and digital teams to expand coverage. The role demands strong writing, reporting skills and the ability to work under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent years of experience preferred.
• Generally, 3+ years of related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and ability to provide proof of insurance that meets company-required limits are required. Driving is an essential part of this role.

Responsabilités

• Develop compelling story ideas by evaluating assignments, news leads and tips.
• Gather and verify information through interviews, observation and research.
• Write accurate, engaging stories that meet broadcast and AP style standards.
• Shoot high-quality video and still photography that strengthens storytelling.
• Edit video and produce content for television, digital and other multimedia platforms.
• Deliver taped interviews, narration and live reports from the scene of breaking and developing news.
• Collaborate with photographers on assigned stories to create cohesive, visually strong coverage.
• Partner with producers to help prepare newscasts and meet daily editorial needs.
• Work with digital team members to develop multimedia stories and extend coverage across platforms.
• Respond quickly and effectively as stories evolve in a fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom.
