Job summary

You will develop stories daily with management, utilize live shots, stand-ups, and graphics, and build a network of sources to stay ahead of competitors.

Responsibilities include gathering information, verifying facts, writing for multiple platforms, and collaborating with station staff to deliver compelling content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications/Journalism or related field.
• Three years TV anchoring or reporting experience.
• Strong vocal delivery, camera presence and enunciation.
• Strong reporting skills.
• Understanding of social media importance.
• Excellent reading, writing, spelling and grammar.
• Promotes teamwork and cooperation with staff.
• Operate newsroom computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Present news stories clearly across TV, web and mobile.
• Produce content for multiple platforms including TV and online.
• Enterprise and develop stories daily with management.
• Use live shots, stand-ups, graphics and social media.
• Organize material, determine angle, write per standards.
• Gather and verify information through interviews and research.
• Build a network of sources to stay ahead of competitors.
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
