Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a Middle School Science teacher to inspire grades 6–8 near Providence, RI. This contracted role supports about 20 students and runs from 7:45 AM to 2:55 PM, starting August 24.

You will deliver engaging general science instruction and monitor student growth as the new school year begins. Ideal candidates hold a valid teaching credential in General Science and have experience with middle school learners, strong communication, inclusive classrooms, and a commitment to

Qualifications

Valid teaching credential with a focus in General Science or related subject.
Demonstrated experience teaching middle school-aged students.
Deep knowledge of science curriculum and best instructional practices for grades 6–8.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to create an inclusive, dynamic classroom community.
Commitment to supporting diverse learners and fostering critical thinking.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver daily science lessons across 6th, 7th, and 8th grade levels.
Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction to ensure growth.
Collaborate with fellow educators and administrators to enhance student outcomes.
Foster a hands-on, inquiry-based approach to science education.
Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning atmosphere.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
