Qualifications

• Knowledge of current teaching methods and pedagogy with differentiated instruction.
• Broad knowledge of mathematics including arithmetic, calculus, geometry, and related areas.
• Ability to use data and information systems for assessment and planning.
• Familiarity with applicable state education laws and standards.
• Ability to use computer networks and software applications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to engage with students and parents professionally.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers a mathematics curriculum aligned with district goals.
• Creates lesson plans and instructional materials, translating them into engaging learning experiences.
• Teaches mathematics concepts and promotes critical thinking and problem solving.
• Designs activities showing real-world applications of mathematics.
• Monitors student progress and adapts teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
• Maintains accurate records of student achievement and attendance in accordance with policies.
• Participates in faculty meetings and collaborates with colleagues.
• Selects and requisitions instructional materials and maintains inventory.
