Job summary

Carney, Sandoe & Associates seeks a Middle School Math Teacher to begin Fall 2026 at a Catholic school in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. The role focuses on delivering rigorous math instruction and nurturing student curiosity.

You will develop engaging lessons for grades 6–8, collaborate with faculty on curriculum, and foster a positive classroom culture. A Bachelor's in Math or Math Education is required; a Master’s is preferred, with US work authorization expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Math Education, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Experience teaching math at middle/high school level strongly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with educational technology tools, learning management systems, and digital resources to enhance teaching and learning.
• U.S. Work Authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging math lessons for students in grades 6-8.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles, including lectures, demonstrations, hands-on activities, and experiments.
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments in alignment with the curriculum and educational standards.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to create and refine curriculum materials, ensuring they meet the needs of the school’s educational goals.
• Maintain an orderly and productive classroom environment, addressing student behavior and promoting respect for others.
• Encourage and guide students in collaborative group work and individual tasks.
