Responsibilities

• Observes and monitors student behavior in classroom and school areas.
• Maintains a safe classroom atmosphere emphasizing mutual respect.
• Plans, develops, and evaluates daily lesson plans and adjusts instruction as needed.
• Organizes materials, space and time to support curricular activities.
• Uses classroom management techniques to promote a productive learning environment.
• Plans instruction to meet objectives based on curriculum.
• Evaluates student progress and informs parents of evaluation methods.
• Communicates student progress and instructional methods to parents.
• Collaborates with instructional team to promote learning objectives.
• Notifies administrator of special needs and collaborates with specialists.
• Oversees teacher assistant and volunteers as needed.
• Orders classroom supplies and instructional materials.
