• Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
• Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media suited to the location and student needs.
• Strives to implement the district's philosophy of education and instructional goals.
• Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Evaluates student progress regularly.
• Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law and policy.
• Helps uphold and enforce school rules and Board policy.
• Makes provisions to be available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside instructional day.
• Attends and participates in faculty meetings.
• Cooperates with staff to plan instructional goals, objectives, and methods.
• Assists in selecting books, equipment, and other instructional materials.
• Accepts a share of responsibility for co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Works to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents about academic and behavioral progress.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with others.
