Job summary

AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Material Handler to support safe and efficient movement, storage, and distribution of materials across the manufacturing facility. This role ensures materials are available for production, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports shipping and receiving teams.

The candidate will rotate among logistics tasks, follow QS9000 procedures, and operate material handling equipment in a safe, expeditious manner, with emphasis on Kanban knowledge and

Qualifications

• Ability to rotate between Logistics jobs (Material Handler, Receiver, Shipper, Stretch Wrap, and related tasks).
• Follow and apply QS9000 procedures in daily tasks.
• Maintain inventory accuracy at cycle-count level >96%.
• Proficient in using a computer and bar scanning devices with related equipment.
• Working knowledge of KANBAN.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Rotate between all Logistics roles including Material Handler, Receiver, Shipper, Stretch Wrap, and related tasks.
• Receive and ship products accurately and timely.
• Maintain assembly cell by delivering materials and removing finished goods.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and support cycle counts >96%.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
