The role requires strong writing, editorial judgment, and the ability to guide stories from planning to on-air delivery, including live broadcasts and post-production edits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• 2+ years newsroom or content production experience preferred.
• Understanding of journalistic standards, ethics and media laws.

Responsibilities

• Develop and organize daily newscasts and local programming.
• Write compelling stories, teases, and showcase content for viewers.
• Collaborate with reporters and newsroom leadership to set coverage priorities.
• Advance stories through planning and creative storytelling.
• Enhance content with graphics, video, data, and branding elements.
• Make timely editorial decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Oversee live broadcasts and adjust content as breaking news evolves.
• Publish and manage content across station websites and digital platforms.
• Support newsroom operations and contribute to special projects.
