Job summary

Franklin Public Schools seeks a Building-Based Substitute Teacher for Lincoln Street K-2 Elementary School in Franklin, MA. This temporary assignment runs from November 9, 2026 through March 25, 2027.

You will rotate through teaching positions daily, implement lesson plans, supervise students, and maintain safety and routines as if the regular teacher were present. Salary is $123 per day; reports to the Building Principal.

Qualifications

• Experience working with middle or high school-age youth preferred.
• Must successfully pass Criminal Offender (CORI) background check and CHRI fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Rotate into various teaching positions daily across the school.
• Implement teacher lesson plans and directives with fidelity.
• Communicate expectations with teachers and the principal regarding student work and behavior.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students.
• Support in supervision duties such as lunch, bus, or recess.
