Job summary

Currey Ingram Academy seeks qualified Substitute Teachers to support students in grades JK–12. The role ensures continuity of instruction when a teacher is absent, maintaining a positive, structured learning environment and upholding the school’s mission and values.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and experience in education. Preference for those with Education/Special Education backgrounds and classroom management abilities. Compensation is $175 per day and duties begin by 7:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience working with students in an educational setting preferred.
• Ability to navigate classroom technology with guidance.
• Preference for candidates with a degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
• Experience working with students with learning differences.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and support the mission, values, and educational philosophy through daily interactions and professional conduct.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
• Implement lesson plans and classroom procedures provided by the regular classroom teacher.
• Serve as a positive role model for students by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and respect.
• Exercise sound judgment and behave ethically, contributing positively to the school community.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and administrators to support student success.
• Enforce school policies and classroom expectations fairly and consistently.
• Report to campus and be prepared to begin duties by 7:30 a.m. and remain through requested hours.
• Be responsive to requests and available based on the provided schedule of availability.
