Job summary

Maury County Public Schools is seeking a Teacher (Regular Education) to supervise students within the classroom and other assigned areas; develop lesson plans; deliver group and individual instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborate with teachers, staff, and administrators; and respond to inquiries from parents regarding progress.

This position reports to the Principal and requires coordinating with staff to address instructional issues and support the school improvement

Qualifications

• Experience planning lessons within curriculum guidelines.
• Ability to assess and report student progress.
• Strong classroom management and behavior support.
• Effective communication with parents/guardians.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers instructional programs and classroom operations in compliance with policies and laws.
• Responsible for overall instruction, operation, management, and supervision of the classroom.
• Assesses student progress and develops learning plans to improve performance.
• Develops and administers subject-specific assessments; tracks progress.
• Advises parents/guardians on progress and expectations; communicates goals at home.
