ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at Eastland Preparatory Academy in Columbus, OH. The role supports teachers with in-class activities and helps promote positive student behavior within academics and extracurriculars.

The Instructional Aide provides oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate, assisting school leaders and teachers in duties aligned with ACCEL Schools’ philosophy and policies. The starting hourly rate is $16.25.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• BCI/FBI background check.
• Ability to meet educational standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Confidential information handling.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher and follows instructional plans.
• Assists with classroom activities and supports student and parent relations.
• Participates in school activities and events.
• Performs clerical duties (grading papers, copies).
• Assists with classroom technology usage.
• Maintains classroom and dining areas cleanliness.
• Embraces the school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Other duties including field trips and duty assignments.
