The Schaumburg Community Consolidated School District 54 in Schaumburg, IL is seeking Certified Substitute teachers to cover daily assignments. Starting immediately, substitutes are day-to-day, at-will employees who support planning, behavior management, and classroom routines in the absence of the regular teacher.

Qualified candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and a Professional Educator License issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.

Formación

• Must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution of higher learning.
• Must hold a Professional Educator License to teach in Illinois issued by the Illinois State Board of Education and registered for the current school year.

Responsabilidades

• Report to the principal upon arrival fifteen minutes before the official school opening.
• Review plans and schedules with the principal, team leader, or department chairperson.
• Oversee pupil behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods.
• Write a note about work completed at the end of each teaching day for the regular classroom teacher.
• Report to the building principal at the end of the day to confirm next day availability.
• Maintain established routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Teach the lessons outlined in the Teacher's Lesson Plan.
• Consult with the principal before initiating any procedures not in the lesson plans.
• Follow all policies, rules and procedures applicable to regular teachers.
