Job summary

Red Bank Regional High School is seeking a HS Social Studies Teacher for a leave replacement position from January 4 to June 17, 2027. The role requires NJDOE Social Studies certification and strong classroom management. Collaboration with colleagues on curriculum and use of diverse instructional strategies is expected.

Compensation follows the district Step 1 salary schedule; benefits include medical, prescription and dental coverage.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid NJDOE certification in Social Studies.
• Strong content knowledge and passion for social sciences.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Dual ML or Special Education certification considered strongly but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned Social Studies lessons.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment fostering participation and respectful discussion.
• Assess student progress using varied forms of formative and summative assessments.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Incorporate technology, primary sources, debates, and project-based learning into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
