Responsibilities

• Meets and instructs assigned classes in the designated locations and times.
• Plans a program of study and instructional practices to meet students' needs and abilities.
• Creates a supportive classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students’ maturity and interests.
• Prepares for classes and provides written lesson plans when requested by principal or supervisor.
• Encourages students to set and maintain high standards of classroom behavior and achievement.
• Guides learning toward curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives for instruction.
• Employs diverse instructional practices and resources to support individual student needs (including IEP/504).
• Maintains accurate records and communicates progress with parents on a ongoing basis.
