Job summary

Constantine Public Schools in Michigan is seeking a full-time Science teacher with a valid Michigan teaching certificate and a science endorsement. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor degree with a science major/minor (DI/DX/DP) and meet highly qualified standards for Science.

Responsibilities include linking instruction to standards, using formative assessments, integrating technology, and differentiating instruction to support all learners.

Qualifications

• Possess or be eligible for a valid Michigan teaching certificate.
• Bachelor degree with a major/minor in Science with DI, DX or DP endorsement.
• Meet highly qualified requirements for Science.
• Able to assess and document student progress.
• Professional in personal conduct and actions.
• Experience with PLTW preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
• Working knowledge of Science Common Core Standards.
• Ability to link instruction and assessments to Common Core Standards.
• Ability to use formative assessments to inform instruction.
• Create, deliver, and grade assessments/assignments as needed.
• Ability to utilize effective instructional strategies.
• Ability to differentiate instruction.
• Must be able to effectively integrate technology into the curriculum.
• Knowledge of Pyramid Response to Intervention, techniques for intervention and progress monitoring a plus.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
