Job summary

Education First Academy New York is seeking a qualified Long-Term Substitute Physics Teacher to provide continuity of instruction for high school students during an extended faculty leave. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Science Education, or a related field.
• Prior experience teaching high school Physics, ideally within an IB Diploma Programme or AP Physics curriculum.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with diverse, international student populations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver effective Physics lessons aligned with existing course objectives.
• Facilitate hands-on laboratory investigations and inquiry-based learning.
• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate with students, families, and colleagues as needed.
