Job summary

Lexington County School District One White Knoll High School in Lexington, South Carolina, seeks a dedicated Math Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus. The teacher will design engaging lessons, manage a positive classroom environment and align instruction with district expectations and student needs.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in mathematics, a valid South Carolina teaching license, and the ability to work 8 hours per day

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related discipline; student teaching experience or equivalent
• Valid SC Teaching License (any applicable area)
• Must have current government issued identification

Responsibilities

• Instruct students in mathematical skills such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry and calculus
• Establish a safe, supportive learning environment and manage classroom behavior
• Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments and analyze data
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with parents/guardians as needed
• Prepare lesson plans, assessments and instructional materials
• Perform other duties as assigned
