Qualifications

• Active CT 042CDE Art Certification required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Education or Art required.
• Demonstrated ability to teach high school in multicultural settings.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow scope and sequence as approved by the Danbury Board of Education.
• Set clear expectations and routines.
• Manage the classroom and student behavior to foster learning.
• Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives and appropriate techniques.
• Demonstrate strong content knowledge of Art.
• Maintain accurate records and conduct parent/teacher conferences.
• Assess student progress and identify interventions.
• Communicate with parents about progress.
