Job summary

The Pleasantville Public School District is seeking a Health and Physical Education/Driver Education Teacher for a 10-month position. Applicants must hold a New Jersey instructional certificate with Health and Physical Education and Driver Education endorsements and demonstrate strong instructional, assessment, and classroom management skills.

Candidates should have experience working with students, good communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a New Jersey instructional certificate with Health and Physical Education and Driver Education endorsements.
• Experience teaching children and strong classroom management skills.
• Solid knowledge of child development, instructional strategies, assessment and learning research.
• Ability to organize content into clear, effective lessons.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills with students, staff, and community.
• Must demonstrate English communication in writing and speech.
• Willingness to meet residency requirements and health/clearance checks.

Responsibilities

• Teach Health and Physical Education and Driver Education to students.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classrooms effectively.
• Collaborate with administration and staff; communicate with parents.

Education
