Performance Optimal Health in Hamden, CT is seeking an energetic Group Fitness Instructor to lead high-quality classes that challenge, motivate, and support participants at all levels. This role delivers safe, effective, and well-structured sessions while creating a positive and inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, a passion for helping others improve their health, and the ability to build connections with members that keep them coming back.

Qualifications

• Certified fitness instructor with a recognized certification (ACE, NASM, ACSM).
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of exercise science principles and ability to tailor workouts for diverse populations.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead classes with enthusiasm and energy, motivating and inspiring members to achieve their fitness goals.
• Utilize technology, particularly Technogym equipment, to enhance the class experience and promote optimal performance.
• Teach classes in alignment with the studio's philosophy and principles, focusing on the four pillars of fitness and encouraging members to utilize recovery services after classes.
• Collaborate with floor trainers to ensure smooth setup and breakdown of equipment before and after classes.
• Optimize class schedules to allow sufficient time between classes for equipment changes and transitions.
• Promote the use of recovery services among members, emphasizing the importance of post-workout recovery for overall health and performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to fitness instruction and Technogym equipment usage.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by the studio.
