Baton Rouge Community College is seeking an Instructor for Graphic and Web Design to teach five courses per semester, focusing on Adobe Creative Cloud and front-end technologies. The role includes curriculum development, student advising, and active participation in college service and professional development.

The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree with substantial design and web development experience, plus a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in graphic design, web design, interactive media, or digital art.
• Indicate at least five years using Adobe Creative Cloud with a portfolio.
• At least five years in website development/design using HTML, CSS, JavaScript with a portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Teach the equivalent of five face-to-face and online courses per semester (fall and spring).
• Contribute to college service including committees and recruitment events.
• Develop and revise curricula for graphic and web design courses.
• Advise Graphic Arts and Web Design students.
• Engage in professional development activities (conferences, workshops, publications).
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
