Jobot in Miami is seeking a detail-oriented Construction Paralegal to support attorneys handling complex construction defect and construction litigation matters for developers, owners, contractors, design professionals, and insurers.

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, familiarity with Florida construction disputes, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal in construction defect or construction litigation.
• Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure.
• Experience managing complex document-intensive cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive litigation support in construction defect and related matters.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
• Manage document production, review, and organization, including electronically stored information.
• Prepare case chronologies, factual summaries, and damages analyses.
• Coordinate inspections, expert involvement, deposition scheduling, mediations, and hearings.
• Maintain case files, deadlines, and calendars in compliance with court and firm requirements.
• Cite-check and assemble motions, exhibits, and trial binders.
• Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Support attorneys during mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Assist with compliance related to Florida construction defect statutes, notices, and procedures.
