Job summary

Taymax Group is seeking a Fitness Trainer at our Davis, CA club to design simple workouts and guide new members in achieving fitness goals. You’ll lead the PE@PF program, teach proper equipment use, and create engaging exercise updates. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and teamwork in a welcoming environment.

The position requires CPR and a personal training credential, with a friendly, reliable, and punctual attitude helping to maintain a high-quality fitness experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A passion for fitness and health.
• Upbeat and positive attitude.
• Punctuality and reliability are a must.
• Exceptional customer service with members and staff.
• Strong listening, empathy and problem-solving skills.
• Diplomacy in interactions and professional behavior.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Personal Training Certification (IFA/ACE/NCSF) required.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize members with the facility and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
• Conduct and run the Planet Fitness PE@PF program and schedule.
• Assist members in achieving fitness goals and provide motivation.
• Instruct and acclimate members to equipment and safety procedures.
• Create bi-weekly exercise updates with varied routines.
• Meet class requirements based on club size and traffic.
• Assist front desk tasks: answering calls, member check-in, tours and tours.
• Track inventory and support club operations.
• Participate in daily cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Respond to member questions and escalate as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
