Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience managing business/department functions and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan individually or cooperatively a program of study that meets students’ needs and abilities.
• Assist in establishing department objectives and development of a plan to implement and evaluate them.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity and interests.
• Guide learning toward curriculum goals and set clear objectives for lessons and units.
• Employ instructional methods and materials aligned with stated objectives.
• Assess student progress and provide required reports.
• Diagnose learning strengths and weaknesses and seek district support as needed.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and parents regularly.
• Help implement school policies and classroom rules fairly.
• Supervise assignments for support personnel and volunteers, coordinating with department heads.
• Use technology in teaching and learning processes.
• Maintain accurate records as required by policy and law.
• Adhere to Ethics codes and district policies.
• Support school improvement initiatives and participate in activities.
• Recognize indicators of student distress and act per procedures and law.
• Maintain proper testing environments and test security.
