Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid New Jersey instructional certificate with English endorsement, or eligibility to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of English/language arts content, including literature, reading, writing, grammar, and communication.
• Ability to provide engaging, student-centered instruction in a positive classroom environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging English/language arts lessons aligned with New Jersey standards.
• Provide instruction in literature, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom that promotes engagement and growth.
• Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and administrators.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary learning and district initiatives.
