Job summary

The University of Houston's Department of English is hiring temporary, part-time lecturers to teach Freshman Composition I and II. Courses may be offered face-to-face, hybrid, or online. This is a non-tenure track position and appointments are made on a semester to semester basis.

Successful applicants may also teach undergraduate courses in other areas such as literature. A Master’s or doctorate in English, or related field, with at least one year of college teaching is required.

• Ability to teach Freshman Composition I and II and undergraduate courses in other areas such as literature; experience with multiple formats (face-to-face, hybrid, online).
