Job summary

Jackson and Coker Locum Tenens seeks an Emergency Medicine PA for an Illinois assignment with 12-hour rotating shifts (days and nights) and a weekend coverage requirement. The role is based in a Level II trauma center with Epic EMR.

The candidate must hold a PA-C with active Illinois license, IL CDS license, ACLS and PALS certifications, and provide at least two references. Strong credentialing and a clean background are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified PA-C with active Illinois license.
• Active Illinois Controlled Substance license.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 professional references.
• Clean background and credentialing readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide ED coverage on rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends).
• Perform emergency procedures: laceration repairs, suturing, joint reductions, incision/drainage.
• Work within Epic EMR in a Level II trauma center.
• Care for adult and geriatric patients; limited pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with crisis worker and social work team.
