Job summary

Mars Area School District is seeking an anticipated Elementary Teacher at Mars Area Elementary School to join our dedicated staff. The classroom teacher will create a positive learning environment and implement lessons aligned with the district design to support student growth.

The successful candidate will hold a Pennsylvania teaching certificate, have knowledge of reading research, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to manage student progress and behavior.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or a subject area.
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification.
Dual Certification preferred.
Knowledge of current reading research and effective instructional practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity of the students.
Plan and implement lesson plans that meet individual needs, interests, and abilities within the district curriculum.
Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians.
Maintain attendance records and manage student records as required by policy.
Develop a systematic grading procedure and maintain thorough records of achievement.
