Job summary

Holy Ghost Catholic School in Houston, TX seeks a responsible, energetic and nurturing teacher to support student success and growth through Archdiocesan approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress, addressing individual educational needs, and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding progress, expectations and goals.

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the teacher will create a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment,

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
State Certification in the appropriate grade level preferred.

Responsibilities

Develops and administers school curriculum consistent with school goals and objectives.
Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction and student learning.
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences.
Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods to fit individual needs.
Instructs students in digital citizenship and other subject matters in accordance with laws and school procedures.
Maintains accurate records of student progress, attendance and achievement.
