• Creates safe, conducive environment for individualized and small group instruction.

• Instructs on citizenship and subject matter per laws and regulations.
• Maintains records of grades and attendance per district procedures.
• Encourages parental involvement and communicates progress to students and parents.
• Maintains pupil behavior standards and an effective classroom climate.
• Coordinates with grade level staff to evaluate curriculum.
• Selects books and supplies and maintains inventory.
• Oversees activities outside class and through transportation.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
