Qualifikationen

• Massachusetts Teachers License required.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Education required.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s and at least 2 years of experience.

Aufgaben

• Prepare curriculum-based lessons aligned with Massachusetts frameworks for each class.
• Engage all students with the content of the curriculum.
• Monitor and record each student's interests.
• Plan, develop, and implement revised curriculum based on student culture and interests.
• Develop work stations based on current student interests with ethical/educational basis.
• Ensure activities meet quality management, health & safety, legal, and environmental standards.
• Maintain and communicate the program's mission with students and community.
• Draft and submit progress reports for students.
• Prepare report cards when needed.
• Administer tests to students.
• Attend YES staff meetings first Monday of every month.
• Contribute to evaluation and development with administration.
• Stay updated on curriculum trends and interpret for directors.
• Ensure student safety at all times.
• Notify administration about any injuries to youth.
• Direct supervision by the teacher in charge.
