Job summary

StaffVengers is seeking a Teacher Assistant (TA) in Washington, DC. The TA will support the teacher in creating a safe and stimulating environment, assist with developing strategies for personal outcomes, and collaborate on student progress. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and meet additional qualifications such as a CDA credential or relevant experience. The role involves documenting child progress and supporting students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Experience in behavior management and/or working with students with disabilities is a plus.
• Previous experience with 'Creative' curriculum desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in promoting a safe and stimulating educational environment.
• Collaborate with the teacher regarding child's progress and social development.
• Follow Individual Education Program (IEP) strategies for children with disabilities.
• Organize and prepare instructional materials.
• Document each student's progress as required.
