Job summary

The Ohio State University—Nisonger Center in Columbus seeks staff to support classroom planning and implementation for infants to preschoolers. You will help meet the developmental needs within the Center’s philosophy and state licensing rules, while coordinating routines, health, safety, and CACFP meal counting.

Responsibilities include collaboration with support teams, documentation, and ongoing professional development, with opportunities across career levels depending on department needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required for Technical (T1).
• Associate degree or equivalent required for Technical (T2).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required for Technical (T3).
• Experience teaching infant, toddler, or preschool age children preferred; mandatory trainings include first aid, communicable disease, infant/child CPR, child abuse recognition, and other mandated training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and integrating daily and long-term classroom planning with the support team.
• Ensure social, emotional, physical, and educational needs of children are met per Center philosophy and licensing rules.
• Implement, evaluate, and communicate classroom programming and routines; assist with paperwork and problem solving with team and parents.
• Maintain health, safety and security processes including CACFP meal counting; participate in professional development and university teams.
