Job summary

The College of Lake County is seeking a part-time Dual Credit Adjunct in English for District 128, based at the Grayslake Campus. The role involves teaching English dual credit and coordinating with Lake Zurich High School for in-person instruction.

A Master's degree and 18 graduate credits in English-related areas are required, with eligibility to work with secondary and post-secondary students both in-person and online. Fingerprint checks and other clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in any field, OR Secondary Education with eighteen graduate credits in English-related areas
• Eighteen graduate semester hours (or equivalent) in English, Reading, Literacy, Composition, Literature, Creative Writing or Linguistics
• Eligible to work with secondary and post-secondary students in-person and virtually
• Position is Part-time with 5 total hours per week

Responsibilities

• Teach an English dual credit course in District 128
• Possibly teach English at Lake Zurich High School
• Comply with state laws and district policies governing education and fingerprint checks
