Job summary

School of Rock North Haven is seeking a Drum Instructor to lead private lessons and group rehearsals, delivering engaging, performance-based music education.

You will create lesson plans, communicate with parents, and help students develop music and life skills while upholding safety and conduct policies.

Ideal candidates are working musicians with teaching experience and a passion for inspiring young performers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience teaching and/or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Very strong customer relations skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver private lessons and shows to maximize instruction quality.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Communicate regularly with parents on progress of students after lessons.
• Be visible and accessible in the school and interact with students and parents.
• Assist in rehearsals and basic maintenance in school.
• Adheres to the School of Rock Code of Conduct and safety policies.
