Job summary

Nexstar Media Group, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, is seeking an experienced news co-anchor/reporter to join our FOX/CW duopoly Daybreak team. The ideal candidate will have strong anchoring and reporting skills, with the ability to tell memorable stories across platforms.

The role requires leadership, solid news judgment, and a commitment to engaging the audience through social media and live coverage, including streaming programs, with early morning shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of on-air experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of anchoring experience.
• Past anchoring and reporting experience required.
• Proven track record of leadership and newscast ratings growth.
• Degree in Journalism or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conversational anchor skills, adlib with ease and connect audiences through professionalism and personality.
• Covers day-of news in accordance with station brand initiatives and audience content priorities.
• Must have good time management skills and be able to anchor and report every shift.
• Ability to perform strong, interactive live shots
• Ability to anchor/host streaming programs.
• Fill-in as anchor on other newscasts when necessary
• Works with producers and writers to improve newscasts
• Engage with audience on all relevant social media platforms
• Represents station at public events
