Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is hiring a Daily Substitute Teacher at Capital City Sports Academy in Columbus, Ohio dedicated to providing a superior education for all students. We are seeking teachers who are passionate and dedicated to bringing the curriculum to life for each student.

Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, differentiating instruction, and maintaining student progress records. You will collaborate with staff, communicate with families, and support a positive classroom

Qualifications

• Active and current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and maintain records.
• Experience in urban school environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with flexibility to modify during the year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Use approved curricula reflecting diverse backgrounds.
• Communicate with families about student growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in non-instructional activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
