Job summary

Seattle Public Schools is seeking a classroom teacher to create a positive learning environment, develop curriculum, and set learning objectives aligned with district guidelines. You will instruct, counsel, discipline, and assess student progress while collaborating with staff and families.

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree with experience supporting diverse urban students and implementing multi-level instruction in mainstream and open-concept classrooms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or industry background qualifying for Washington State CTE credential.
• Experience with bilingual students and transitions to regular classrooms may be required.
• Teaching multi-level, open-concept, and mainstream classes is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Foster an educational environment that supports student growth.
• Plan instructional programs and prepare lesson plans to meet individual and group needs.
• Use appropriate instructional methods and materials aligned to curriculum objectives.
• Counsel, supervise, and discipline to meet achievement and conduct standards.
• Collaborate with parents/guardians and staff to support student progress.
• Record and report student progress to parents/guardians.
