Job summary

Achievement First is seeking a Short-Term Substitute teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This temporary position focuses on delivering engaging instruction, upholding AF's values, and supporting student growth in a structured, achievement-oriented classroom.

Ideal candidates hold a CT teaching certificate or are pursuing certification, with a Bachelor's degree and a GPA of 3.0+; CT certification in process is acceptable. Position runs four months with no benefits. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required; CT certification is preferred.
• GPA of at least 3.0; Master’s degree preferred.
• If GPA is 2.75–3.0, additional recommendations may be considered.
• Connecticut certified or in process of obtaining a certification.
