You will unload tools, prepare materials, and set up equipment, while adhering to project plans and safety rules. The role involves assisting various trades and maintaining a productive work pace on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/trade training is a plus.
• Must be 18+ and physically capable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/bend/squat for long periods.
• Comfort with climbing ladders and heights.
• Positive attitude, ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal communication with management.

Responsibilities

• Unload tools and prepare building site materials, and set up equipment.
• Follow project instructions from construction manager or supervisor.
• Consult with construction plans and coordinate with crew.
• Direct traffic safely around the construction or road maintenance site.
• Use construction and maintenance tools to complete daily tasks.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Wear headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing as required.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in building scaffolding and temporary structures.
• Safely operate tools like pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and torches.
• Prepare new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space.
• Provide assistance to contractors as needed.
