Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Communication, Speech, Rhetoric, Media Studies, or a closely related field, AND 2 years of professional experience in communication-related fields; OR a master’s degree in Communication, Speech, Rhetoric, Media Studies, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Teaching, designing, preparing, and delivering courses in communication areas such as public speaking, interpersonal, intercultural, organizational, and media studies.
• Develop syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, exams, and grading rubrics aligned with objectives.
• Instruct, mentor, and advise students; hold office hours to support success.
• Evaluate student performance using tests, assignments, and presentations with timely feedback.
• Maintain and submit accurate attendance and performance records per institutional requirements.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support programs, curriculum alignment, and accreditation.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom and adapt to departmental guidelines while staying current in the field.
