Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach lower and/or upper-level courses in fine arts. The role involves planning, organizing, implementing, and assessing academic experiences aligned with the college’s mission and learning domains.

You will ensure a quality learning environment and provide timely feedback to students. Responsibilities include instruction per curriculum, participation in assessment programs, grade submission, office hours, and engagement in the adjunct

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• Experience in college-level instruction preferred.
• Familiarity with D2L learning management system.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction to students as delineated by course curriculum.
• Participate in Methodist College’s general education assessment program.
• Evaluate student performance in accordance with the course requirements and provide appropriate feedback to students in a timely manner.
• Prepare effectively for class in a manner consistent with the course objectives and course outline.
• Adhere to classroom protocol as established in the Methodist College Faculty Handbook.
• Respond to and evaluate student learning by appropriate means.
• Grade papers, tests, projects, and other assignments in a timely manner and gives appropriate feedback to students.
• Submit grades to the Registrar at midterm and at the completion of the course.
• Establish and maintains posted office hours to meet with students.
• Participate in the annual College adjunct self-reflection and evaluation process.
• Effectively deliver required course content in D2L learning management software.
